In spite of the pain and trauma author Erica H. Nolan experienced, she was able to survive. Erica truly believes and knows that God had a better plan for her life. Erica knows some might have many questions on why she engaged in some of the risque behaviors that she did, but in her mind, she didn't feel she was doing anything wrong and to this day she has no regrets. She feels it was because she was missing the love that she was supposed to get from her father, and until you've walked in her shoes you will never understand what Erica has been through. Erica has been through hell and high water and still made it through. She knows she could have been dead in jail or on drugs. Erica even tried to commit suicide two times but each time God kept her. She had given up on herself.But now she is at peace because she has learned how to, "Be Still"
