Used Book not Good for this book

This books needed to be new. Not used because the person before me wrote in.And it's a workbook type book, and it needed to be blank.So that I could write in it myself

Knowing God through meditating on the Word

I have used this treasure a few times and have given it to a number of people. I love that it equips us to be still and focus on God's Word. It is not empty meditation as in some other religions, but is focused clearly on God- Father, Son, Holy Spirit. To be able to read the Word of God is amazing, but to have it read us, through meditation on it, is extremely powerful. We live in crazy, busy, stressful times in which we need to take in the peace of Christ through His Word. This tool helps with this awesome task. Plus the simple techniques used here can be applied to other passages in the Bible. I highly recommend this book.

Be Still is a good way to focus your prayers and get closer to God on a personal level. The practices it describes makes an excellent way to start each day.

Learning to Listen to God

This is a terrific devotional book. I have just finished the 31 days for the 3rd time, and I am still getting information and revelations that are helping me grow spiritually. I am learning to her God's whispers. It is terrific for helping someone slow down and listen.

An Amazing Guide to Draw you Closer to God in 31 Days

Amy Reinhold has compiled BE STILL, an amazing guide to draw you into an intimate relationship with God! Through a little known (in our culture at least) ancient meditation form called Lectio Divina (Latin for "divine" or "sacred" reading) the Reinholds take you on a 31 day reading of Scripture with the help of some of today's best selling authors and theologians. I had never heard of Lectio Divina. And like many people of our day I had relegated meditation to those into yoga and New Age. But I was really missing out. Lectio Divina is meditation through a slow, contemplative praying of the Scriptures which enables the Word of God to become a means of union with God. I'm so thrilled I found this gem of a book! And I highly recommend BE STILL--31 Days to a Deeper Meditative Prayer Life to everyone wanting to truly know their Maker.
