Bayonetta Origins plays nothing like any other Bayonetta game you've played, aside from a few key elements. Cereza is still our protagonist, and as a Metroidvania, exploration is still the name of the game. However, the 100 hours you put into defeating Rodin are useless to you here. Origins has a completely different style of gameplay with an open world and a completely unique style of combat. While the series is typically known for its adult-oriented tone, Bayonetta Origins instead uses a storybook aesthetic to tell a tale of the iconic character as a child. Cereza and the Lost Demon is an engaging game nonetheless, but seasoned Bayonetta fans will find it extremely different from what they know. Here are a few tips for anyone starting this new take on a beloved series.
