Ephesians 6:17 tells us to "take the helmet of salvation." The helmet was the last piece of defensive armor Roman soldiers would put on. It protected the brain. If the brain was injured, then none of the other armor mattered. Salvation is our ultimate defense against Satan. Satan cannot take away our salvation, but he can harm our witness. Daily we fight against worldly desires and doubt, all of which take place in our minds. Daily we need to put on the helmet of salvation to remind ourselves that Jesus's work on the cross has defeated Satan. The stories in Battle Ready: Volume 5 are designed to remind teens that our minds belong to God now. Protect and renew your mind daily by putting on your helmet.
