The duo looked around and saw at least half the fleet on fire or with big holes in their outer shells. Bodies floated by and crippled ships drifted, colliding with other ships. They looked back at the Command Vessel and saw it explode like a star going into supernova, sending debris in every direction. About a half dozen ships were hit and destroyed. There was no way Mazer would have survived that blast.
