American Fundamentalism has been misunderstood, the largely the case, and misinterpreted. Misinterpretations, widely the case, leads to erroneous conclusions in our pluralistic culture. The traditional view dates its beginning to the 1920s. My thesis is that American Fundamentalism began much earlier.
