Bat Wild

By G M White

"Things that are wild, are things that are free. But freedom meant more than just racing the sky. It meant knowing when to slow down, and when to ask why."

Bat Wild is a gentle, moonlit picture book about a young bat named Milo whose mind moves faster than the night around him.

Always darting, always dreaming, Milo struggles to listen, to slow down, to stay safe.

And when his busy thoughts lead him into danger, he flees to the comfort of his parents, where the hush of the wind and the steady glow of the moon remind him of something important:

that his wildness is not wrong, it's a kind of freedom. But even freedom needs moments of rest.

Through lyrical prose and dreamy, twilight illustrations, this story gently shows young readers that having a busy mind is not a flaw- it's something to understand, to guide, and to hold with care.

A soothing blend of nocturnal wonder and emotional reassurance, Bat Wild celebrates;

neurodiversity, self-regulation, and the quiet strength found in learning when to pause.
