Bass Drops

By Ron Carter

One of the most interesting things all bass players do is what we call "drops," which are played at strategic points as the bassist is walking four quarter notes to a measure.

Bass drops showcase the bassist's prominence, choice of rhythms and command of harmony.

This book demonstrates why, when, where and how Maestro Carter plays his drops.

With QR codes that take you to audio of the drops as they appeared on the record, as Ron played them in real time.
