Just twenty more acres and millionaire Adam King would restore his family ranch to its former glory. So intense was his obsession, he even considered marrying the girl next door. For Gina Torino's father was willing to "sell" her in exchange for the much-desired land. Gina was aware of her father's manipulative bargain...and decided to make a deal with Adam herself. She'd marry the ice-cold rancher. He'd get the land. And she'd get King's baby.
This was my first book that I've read by this author. I don't normally read, Desire, books. I don't see the need to have the bedroom scenes, done. All in all, this book was well written, and a good story. I did feel there was some weak point, areas that could have been played out better. But still, a good story, and well written.
Wonderful story

Maureen Child always presents a good tight story. Bargaining for the King's Baby is a delightful story of two people fighting themselves as much as each. He wants 20 acres of Gina's father's land. Gina wants a baby from the man she loves. Gina tries to revive Adam King's zest for life and his ability love and he resists until he learns she is carrying his child. Gina leaves town but her father sees the truth and plays matchmaker. Will they find happiness or be forever separated? The characters are strong and consistent and the story line is comfortable yet intriguing. Well done, Ms. Childs.
