The Caribbean is the setting for this latest Stephen Masters thriller. The action carries Stephen Masters and Joyce Hurtado from the soft sands of the island of Barbados to the island of Curacao and then to Venezuela and ending in exotic Cuba. As in all of the Stephen Masters spy thrillers it is a complex plot filled with dangerous adventure mixed with humor involving the characters everyone has come to love and enjoy reading about.The story begins with what appears to be a simple assignment. Stephen is in Barbados for a trade conference carrying out his duties as the Secretary of Labor for the State of Pennsylvania. Joyce is excited about this trip together as it is their first time on assignment as a couple. But, almost immediately crooked politicians with their own agenda emerge followed by hit squads from a drug related organization wishing to eliminate the duo's nosiness into their affairs. if that is not enough, a hit man hoping to even the score from a prior time in Joyce and Stephen's past pledges to eliminate both of them. It all comes together in a fast paced action packed story set in the unique and beautiful environment of the Caribbean.
