Bar Flaubert

The reader is kept interested at two levels: wanting to find out what happened to the mysterious author who disappeared more than twenty years prior to the beginning of the story; and reading the description of four major cities in Europe, with their various histories, political regimes, architectures, way of life, and even the color of the sky. The main character, author Yannis Loukas, is on a search which is as much internal as it is in travelling. The ending ties the various aspects of the story well together and with a few surprises.

..truth might seem far away but it's closer than we think..

A wonderful book that I could not put down. At the begining, the main character - a modern hero with an obvious romantic side - is insecure and distant but takes his life into his own hands as the plot progresses. He finds meaning, interest and love just at the point in his life where everything seems pointless . He ignites a new spark into his life, he gains confidence and regains himself through a beautiful journey in interesting places of the world and of his soul. A game of words, hidden meanings, secrets that unravel with the help of an artful, sometimes almost poetic, way of writting. I truly enjoyed it!
