Between 26 and 30 AD a man appears in the New Testament named John the Baptist or John the Baptizer. John is a preacher and prophet, in the location of Bethany (Beyond the Jordan), east of the Jordan River in Perea after the birth of Jesus of Nazareth.
According to the New Testament, John anticipated the arrival of a messiah. And Jesus of Nazareth discovered the ministry of John the Baptist and was baptized, becoming that messiah, the anointed, the Christ.
Baptizer is a biopic novel of one of the most influential people in the beginnings of Jesus' ministry and Christianity as a whole. With great respect and care, Baptizer combines Biblical and non-Biblical history, with humbled, Divine-inspired creativity.
The cover shows what is purported to be the face of St. John the Baptist, in the Cathedral of Our Lady in Amiens in France.
