INNOCENCE MEETS HEDONISM: He's a father's worst nightmare. Yet cargo pilot Nick Banner is Jonathan Loring's only hope of getting his daughter, Tressa, safely off-planet and out of harm's way. Within... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I just finished reading both books, Banner's Bonus and Jayne Anne Krentz's Sweet Starfire. Banner's Bonus is not a ripoff of Starfire. In fact, the plots of the two books are nothing alike at all. Sure, they both follow the typical formula of a Futuristic: Rebelious Alpha Male pilot, reluctant female, traveling in space, etc. That is where the similarities end though. The heroine of Banner's Bonus was totally different. The mission they were on wasn't even close to being the same. Both books were very enjoyable although I liked Banner's bonus much better than Sweet Starire.
COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN

This is the first time ever that I have filled out a review on a book, but BANNER'S BONUS was such a thoroughly enjoyable read I felt compelled. The action and adventure kept me hooked! And I especially appreciated the fact that any futuristic words or names were easy to pronounce. Of course, I fell in love with Banner, and can hardly wait now for SOLAR WIND to come out next.
Believable and wonderfully entertaining

I found BANNER'S BONUS to be a delightful change from the usual romance. It's almost as if it's been written for those of us who aren't even sure they would like a futuristic romance. The technical stuff is there but given to us in small, easy to understand doses. BANNER'S BONUS is reminiscent of a high seas pirate and his lady adventure, only instead of a "clipper ship", Nick Banner is a free-lance cargo ship pilot whose ship sails the stars. Nick is to-die-for handsome and has women at his beck and call in every port. A wounded heart however keeps him from making a commitment to any of them. He thinks he's immune to love.Tressa Loring is a hot-house flower whose protected life has left her totally unprepared for three weeks alone and aboard the Victorious with it's often cynical captain.Tressa is Nick's latest consignment. A threat has been made on her life. Nick is the only one her father trusts enough to take her to safety. Tressa has been told she is running an errand for her father's company. AND THREE WEEKS IS A LONG TIME on board the cramped quarters of the Victorious. I thoroughly enjoyed this rich, action packed futuristic. It sizzled with passion, danger, humor and enough sexual tension to keep the pages turning.I'd recommend it to anyone. IT IS A SURE KEEPER.
Love in another time, another place

Tressa Loring could think of much better ways to spend her time than traveling through space with an arrogant brute-especially one she had secretly adored for years. But duty forced her to journey with Nick Banner to a far-off world, even as desire led her to unknown realms of passion. Banner's assignment was suppose to be simple: He had to keep his friend's daughter safe from kidnapping threats without letting her know she was in danger. The hard part for the dashing rogue was he had vowed not to lay a hand on his headstrong passsenger. If he succeeded, a fortune would be his reward. If he failed, a love without end would be his bonus.
Very entertaining and well written

This is a romance and one should not worry too much about the technology. Nick and Tressa go though the usual trials and tribulations as they fight each other as well as those trying to kidnap her. As usual the girl knows that she is in love while the man is just interested in having fun. It is only after he thinks that he has lost her that he realizes that he is in love, something all of his family has known all alone. The basic plot has been used in all ages and still works.
