When young Pat Warren's (Sharyn Moffett) father dies, she moves from their farm in Georgia to live with her aunt, Elizabeth Ames (Jacqueline White), in Boston. But Elizabeth doesn't like animals, and Banjo is no exception: The dog must stay outside. Then, although it breaks Pay's young heart, Elizabeth sends Banjo back to Georgia.
