Larry and Bob have lived their entire lives in Agea Hills, where life is predictable, the work is honest, and adventure is something best enjoyed from a safe distance.
Then the Thumpers come looking for Larry.
Forced to flee the only world they have ever known, the brothers escape into the wasteland-a place populated by strange creatures, dangerous men, witches, forgotten towns, and things that are considerably harder to explain.

Along the way they acquire an unlikely collection of companions, including the mysterious Grento, the formidable Sargasso, and others whose motives-and usefulness-aren't always immediately apparent. What begins as a desperate attempt to stay alive soon becomes something much larger, drawing the brothers toward a powerful ruler named Bander and the dark Keep from which his influence reaches across the wasteland.
Larry, meanwhile, is beginning to suspect that something about him is changing.

Darkly funny, strange, adventurous, and occasionally dangerous in ways no sensible person would volunteer for, Bander's Keep is a fantasy about two ordinary brothers who discover that the world is much larger-and considerably more peculiar-than they ever imagined.
