Disappointing -- book only

Nothing indicated it was the book only and not the "toy/puzzle" The book is full of suggestions like "make a circle by inverting every other piece" and "combine the pices with some outside material." Pretty useless. I won't be buying any book / item combo from Thrift unless new in box. I expected some wear given it was in "acceptible condition" the book alone which is 96 pages of suggestions in a 2 1/2 inch by 3 inch pamphlet is definitely not worth the price ($12). I generally like von Oech's books but without the magnetic design blocks... nope. Actually the blocks alone would be ok but it's kind of like getting a juicer box with just the instruction manual.
