I originally bought this book as a novelty. I was intrigued by the introduction that gave the history of where baking soda came from.
Eventually, I settled down and read the book from front to back. So far, this book has saved me untold amounts of money and given me the feeling that I was not contributing negatively to the environment.
The book itself is well organized with a good introduction, logical sections, and well-described uses for baking soda.
Because I have a cat colony for the city and several cats indoors myself, I was particularly interested in the section on pets.
I will not say that I exchanged all my chemicals for baking soda, but the ones that I have have saved me money.
However, I was surprised to find that baking soda is not good for Teflon and can turn aluminum black. Again, this is the reason to read this book.
This is part of the series of books published by “Flame Tree” which includes:
Raw Food
Lemons: House and Home
Vinegar: House and Home
