Not exactly what you would expect from a young girl of that era. But then just exactly what you would expect from a girl raised by all males. Kitty is of an innocent, arrogant, stubborn nature and figures she can do anything her brothers could. She has a deep familial love for Aaron Smiler and since her brothers have left the ranch to pursue their own lives she must look out for him. She has an apptitude for tracking and taming mustangs and seems to hold the ranch just above going under. So she is very independant. When she comes upon Bo Chandler she is prepared to shoot. Then realizes that he is badly wounded. Yup! she saves him. It seems that she gets a good whiff of the pheromones exuding from him. The pheromones become stronger and leads Kitty into realizing that there is some kind of pull to the male and female other than just mating. Well the urge to mate is there, she just does not understand it. She becomes like all females in heat and wants to experience the physical pleasures. Bo is happy to oblige. Like the others, more action was needed, but the story unfolded well. Bo revealed his training as a lawyer and he suddenly found himself a job in Misery. But then a threat appeared and of course Kitty wants to jump right in. Like all females she has an inflated idea of the help she can provide. She gets caught in the middle thereby causing more danger but has the nerve to make her move for Bo. An entertaining story - not too bad a read - completes the Saga of the Badlands - the characters were worth reading the set for. Recommend the set -- wish they would provide more action, not only in the barn etc.
