Appearances can be deceiving. Never was this truer than with Sandestwine Antiques and Bookstore. This little gem of a shop has been tucked away in the corner of a small town in Kandair, basically forgotten by the world at large. Badilla is the hired help at this little shop of curiosities and she has been here for years. It is a rewarding if simple existence and she has come to love her routine life working for her friend and the owner, the eccentric Hazel Sandestwine. Nothing much changes here. One day could be traded for the next, relaxing and content. Then comes the shift, the change. When it comes, it comes in a very big way. Badilla's world is about to be rocked to its core and her simple life as an assistant shop curator will never be the same again. Fate has other things in mind for her, if she can survive that long.
