Backpackers Odyssey

Can you remember the seventies? I'm sure some of you can. Hippies, free love, rock and roll, (Stones, The Who, Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead, Clapton, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd) burning of bra's, hitch-hiking. Protests, sit-ins, marches, uproars on campuses, Watergate, Fall of Saigon, oil crisis, space exploration, crazy times. Remember the bell-bottomed pants, turtle necks, sideburns, beards, mustaches, mini skirts, and lets not forget hotpants. It was early in the seventies, after coming home from Vietnam it was a time to see more of the world than Southeast Asia. With a blessing from my folks I headed out on my journey (odyssey). Little did I know that I would encounter a murderer, the inside of a prison, many great friends, an opium den, and travel through more than ten countries, enjoying the landscapes and the cultures...
