Backhanded and Bloodthirsty

I often wonder why nice guys finish last while scum wins the race of life.

I try to be a good person, a loving mother, an understanding partner. I did everything I was supposed to do.

But maybe selfishness overcame me

I'm living on my family's farm with my amazing daughter. There are wonderful men in my life, and I get to do what I love every day.

Until I woke up in pain, my world crumbling around me.

I despise being weak, hate needing to lean on anyone. And I told myself I would never be that helpless woman again.

Those asshole bikers with their godlike superiority weren't responsible for the crimes I laid at their feet. But they did too much damage to forgive or forget their indiscretions.

Dare I offer amnesty to those who have harmed me in the past?

Am I strong enough to survive if they turn on me a second time?
