All the risks of hiking in this back country are your own.... yet, the surprises and delights are manifold. These rarely visited backcountry lands are all managed by the National Park Service yet mandated with more multiple-use than those within National Parks. This means on this recreation land you can walk wherever you want, whenever you want. No permits are required, no fee's levied. There are few if any trails, try your best not to leave any, nor any markings. Hike alone if you desire (by far the most rewarding for me in spite of numerous warnings). Go with friends if you desire.
