Baby Duck faces blanket separation in this heartwarming, touch-and-feel tale for the youngest of readers. Poor Baby Duck Her cozy blanket needs washing, and that means spending the day without it. In this familiar tale of blanket separation, Amy Hest and Jill Barton bring their lovable, grumpy duck to life in a most touching way. Baby's many fans are invited to stroke her downy belly, feel her sticky blanket, poke her squishy bath sponge, and even check their own faces in her bedroom mirror. In the end, little readers will be happy to help cuddle Baby's blanket, which is cleaner--and cozier--than ever.
Our Pediatrician's office gives books to kids at every check-up. Our son received this one at his 6 month visit & loved it from day 1-he's now 9 months old. He still reaches for this book before any others. He finds the different textures throughout the book to be very interested-- & especially loves to pet the duck's belly!

this is my first baby duck book. i recite it to my little baby while we walk. it warms my heart that baby duck sings her song, both in happiness and in sadness. i definitely love the linear tale that comes full circle (sorry to mix geometric metaphors). my little 10 month old really soaks in the detailed pictures and loves to feel the textures. it is certainly up there with the hungry caterpillar as an all time favorite!
