My nine month old boy's favorite book

What a sweet book! My son loves this book, and smiles so BIG whenever we pull it out to read (which is pretty much morning, noon, and night). First he loved the baby bunny, but now the smooth velvety calf is his favorite. One day he touched the soft gray fur of the bunny, then picked up the gray stuffed animal sitting right next to us. It seemed like he made a connection...pretty neat! This is a book I would love to give to any new parent.

Very nice short book-- textures and cute animals

Super-cute, sturdy board book with soft textures to pat on each page-- rabbits, ducklings, a calf, baby elephants, and a baby gorilla. Not a story, a tactile experience. Short but sweet plaything for the littlest ones.

Sweet and cute book, Surprised no one's reviewed this yet

This is a sweet cute and short book. I'm surprised no one has review this yet. Our 9 month old picks this book out frequently for me to read to him (not as much as the black and white books, or the Sandra Boynton ones). He is slowly getting the idea of touching the cloth pieces that represent the animals on the pages. I think he likes the photos on the white background more than anything. He always smiles at the yellow ducklings.

Great first book

Well made, sturdy board book. One of the only books my 16 month old son will look at and talk to us about. He loves the pictures and the fact that part of it is fun to touch. I recommend this book and I am considering getting some of the other ones in the series.

A great book to share with your baby

This series of board books are fantastic.I started collecting these for my daughter after she was given one at 6 months as she loved them so much. The book is simple and easy to read with wonderful real photography (not illustrations)and textures on each page that relate to the text on the page. It's a great book to get your baby involved in the reading process, to learn what you are saying also means a texture they can actually touch. It's also a book that baby can read alone with easy to turn pages and endless fascination with the different textures.A wonderful book to get your children learning, thinking and enjoying books. You can never have too many books to read with your children.
