This was my sons first book he was ever interested in. At 7 months he was turning the pages himself and checking out every picture. Now he knows what's coming before he's even opened the page and if you read a line aloud he looks for the book. Needless to say we are big fans. Hopefully this book has started a love of reading that my son will carry with him for the reast of his life.
My 1 year old son absolutely LOVES this book!!!!

The pictures are big and colorful and really pop on the oversized pages. Every other page has some sort of texture to it, which my son loves to investigate. There are also quite a few pictures of children which he seems to babble to. You know a book is a winner when your child would prefer to flip through the pages instead of knocking down a block tower.
HOLDS HIS ATTENTION

I started reading to my baby, at a very early age, 1 1/2 weeks old. I bought this book when he was six months old and it held his attention with the large, colorful pictures. He is now a year old and this book still entertains him. He truly loves the cat, he feels the yarn and smiles. He also loves the colorful flower and the mirror when he sees himself. Although, "Green Eggs and Ham" is still his favorite, he still gives me a smile when I get the book and begin to read.
My son's favorite book!

My son is only 10 months old and this is by far his favorite book. At first I would read it to him, but now he really enjoys wanting to read it himself. The large pictures (especially of the babies) captivate him! He has animated conversations with the babies in the pages and the fact that he can actually touch and feel some of the things is great! I would recommend this book to anyone!
A perfect learning tool

I looked all over for a book that would interest my nine month-old and provide an easy transition into the alphabet. Each page has a big beautiful picture and something with texture to interest the hands-on baby but what sets this book apart is that the main letter is a different color than the rest of the word. Now I can ask my daughter to point to 'O' or 'A' and she is able to recognize the shape.
