All the empirical studies reviewed indicate that a lot of work has been done in the field of maternal and child health care service in comparison with acceptance of female terminal methods. The available literature on the latter highlights that there are studies which deal either exclusively with utilization of antenatal care services or with utilization of child immunization services. Very few studies are available which have tried to cover the female terminal methods and its related issues. The present study therefore makes an attempt to cover the aspects, i.e. Knowledge and use of family welfare services in terms of acceptance of female terminal methods.
