This volume of expansions discusses the methods of awakening the heart. Generally the human beings are sleeping until they are awakened. It is not the eyes in their heads that are asleep but the eyes of their heart. The first step in this process is to cause the actual awakening of the heart and the second step is to maintain the awakening and to avoid the heart to relapse back into sleep again and the third step consists of the one who has been awakened to become himself an awakener. As for the first step, two things must be considered during the process of the awakening. The first aspect is to bring the heart back to life, for sleeping is synonymous with death therefore a sleeping heart is a dead heart. The second aspect is to endow the heart with a light by which to differentiate between truth and falsehood. From this point on, the journey of the awakened begins...
