Awakening the Gauntlet: Book One of The Rusty Chalice: A Gauntlet War Saga

By L.J. Watcher

A forgotten tavern. A fractured relic. A war that begins with a whisper.

The Gauntlet once saved the world. Now it lies broken-its fragments lost, its power scattered across a world teetering on the edge of darkness. Each piece calls to the chosen, granting strength... and temptation.

When Hecabus, a haunted wanderer with a past he won't speak of, stumbles upon a hidden tavern known only as The Rusty Chalice, his fate collides with a mystery older than kings. Within its shifting walls gather unlikely heroes-like Lytpaw, a mischievous bard with fey blood and a voice that touches dreams.

But the relic's reawakening has not gone unnoticed.

From the shadows, Vael'tor-the Black Harbinger-gathers his Chosen. With one fragment already in his grasp, he moves to reshape the world in his image. If the rest fall into his hands, nothing will stop the return of the ancient darkness the Gauntlet once held at bay.

As the first shards surface and destinies entwine, Hecabus and his newfound companions must make a choice: pursue power... or protect each other.

Awakening the Gauntlet is the thrilling first entry in The Rusty Chalice: A Gauntlet War Saga-a sweeping fantasy tale filled with living taverns, ancient magic, morally gray heroes, and relics that remember. Perfect for fans of Brandon Sanderson, The Witcher, and Dungeons & Dragons-style adventure.

Enter the Chalice. Choose your path. The Gauntlet remembers.
