"When Eddie was sentenced, they asked him to recount the accident. He said they had stopped and pulled the bikes about 10 feet from the white line on the freeway, all the bikes were as far away from the road as possible. They were looking at Eddies bike because it wasn't running right. He had burned his hand on the motor and his patience was worn thin. He walked away from the bike to regain his cool. All the people with him; his family so to speak, kept working on the bike. He saw the truck coming and screamed at the top of his lungs as the truck plowed all the people in the world who he cared about including his son Jesse. He saw it all happen. He made the phone call to 911 then started to try to pull people away from the carnage. When he found Jesse, he was still in front of the truck and the truck was partially embedded in the hill off the side of the road. Jesse was already gone. Eddie started to try to help the other victims when the truck driver stumbled out of his truck bleeding from his face. At first Eddie wanted to help him, and then he said he smelled alcohol on the truckers' breath. He pulled his gun from his waistband as the trucker dropped to his knees begging for his life. Eddie wiped a tear from his cheek as he laid a bullet between the truckers eyes."
