It was a simpler time, the "olden days" - 2015. The retired guys like to hang out at the local coffee house in a western Colorado city. The men swap stories, discuss the day's news, and debate issues, such as the value of hand sanitizer, whether our devices make us dumber, and the meaning of life.

The main characters are Chet and Les, retired fraternal twins, 78 years old, who have time on their hands after losing their wives in the past five years. Their coffee house discussions reveal their life stories as they support each other in warmth and friendship. From January through December, the book journals the large and small events of the year. The brothers experience personal growth, discovery, and joy along the way.
