Avery is a cave salamander. These little guys spend their whole life in darkness so they have no need for sight. They are blind.As luck would have it, even though Avery was destined for blindness, the little creature can see but just a bit. Avery was not born in in total darkness. AVERY lives in a popular cave. As Avery came out of the shell a YouTuber was recording. The light shone directly on the new-to-the-world eyes and gave the salamander a sight hole, a circle of light. Avery was truly lucky. With the help of friend Batty, Avery's whole world will open up.
