From what remains of once resplendent Silver Falls State Park outside of Salem to the decimation of downtown Portland, contemplative Kato and company encounter a competing assortment of clans with contradicting ideas of salvation, many of whom would rather see them dead than permit them to continue on their quest for the sake of all.
