Every family has a story. A unique story that makes you who you are. The same is true of our family: generations of immigrants blending together to form a part of the true American story, in times of peace and in times of war - aut pax aut bellum. The only trouble is, our story was not written down - anywhere. Our family tree was like a connect-the-dot picture with some of the numbers missing. After years of research (and with blessed thanks to the internet for speeding up the process) many of the dots can now be reconnected. These connections have led to many interesting historical perspectives. I cannot imagine a better way to learn history than to be able to place a forefather in the thick of history’s pages. So, let’s turn the page and begin to understand who we are and where we came from.
