This fingerplay song was always a favorite in my preschool classrooms. Children wanted to sing it over and over again. We always had so much fun with the chorus, yodeling away: with an avalance...rumblr, rumble with a skier...swish, swoosh with a grizzly bear... "Grr", growl with three girl scouts... "Anybody want to buy girl scout cookies." With a preacher man... "Amen " Reading and singing are very important for young children. At this age, children can retain a lot of information. Not only do children have fun with singing, they also learn new vocabulary. Children learn and remember songs that have rhythm, rhyme, and repetition.
