My go-to cookbook

Chock full of easy, delicious recipes made with ingredients that I keep on hand. Basic, good, nourishing, home-grown food. Loved watching Aunt Bee and her brood on the Mayberry series (and reruns), where good food was always a part of life and always prepared with love. These recipes take me back there. The book also includes a healthy dose of humor from the series, such as "Opie's Turnip-your-nose Greens" and "Fast Gun Fife's Fast Flounder Filets". Don't hesitate to try the "Pounded Steak a la Morelli" - it's one of my family's favorites! I even ordered multiple copies to give as gifts.
