To continue his convalescence after a bout of severe food poisoning, Agostino returns to visit his mother in the small coastal town where she has been living since separating from her husband. The last time Agostino was there, five months earlier during the Christmas holidays, he witnessed a scene that shocked him and that since then has fueled an obsession that he cannot overcome.
In an attempt to escape from the trauma, Agostino starts seeing two women older than him, both with children. Soon, however, he realizes that these possible relationships are nothing more than a reflection of his obsession: the past continues to live in the present, changing him from victim to executioner in a cycle that seems to have no end.
In a crescendo of psychological tension and desire, Agostino searches for a solution to his torment. Will he manage to break the bond that imprisons him or will the past continue to condition his future?

Due to food poisoning, Augustine is forced to return to his old beach house, once his family's vacation home but now, after his parents' separation, his single mother's home.
