Spoiler alert: I'm a sucker for a good anti-hero

and August Snow is a great, all-American anti-hero. I mean, a black Gulf War veteran who becomes a Detroit homicide cop, uncovers corruption, sues to protest his unlawful termination and then uses the $12 million payout to rehabilitate the rundown Hispanic neighborhood where he grew up? And did I mention he's also adept at ethnic cookery and knows every crazy, lovable character is Detroit while being a semi-devout Catholic who doesn't mind using excessive violence to settle a dispute? Don't worry about whether any of this makes sense, just hang on and enjoy the ride.
