Dan Martyn is a handsome ex-cop-turned-auditor for a major university in Orange County, California. During a routine fiscal closing audit for a medical department, he stumbles onto evidence that one of their doctors may have caused the untimely death of eighteen-year-old Corina Zavala, who earned a scholarship to attend LaMont Christian College.
He wants to gather the entire story before the press gets wind of it, while at the same time saving the reputation of the girl's memory. It will take all of Dan's skills, both as an auditor and a former investigator, to discover the truth behind Corina's death before someone else gets hurt, and before a local newshound has a field day at the university's expense.
Indeed, audits can be murder.
