The changing landscape of architecture in the United States is examined in a+u 17:05 through interviews and projects of six emerging architects. The issue explores how digital technology, globalization and social changes have affected their work. Their approach is different from previous generations which focused on a specific design movement. Pursuing individual interests is more common, however they are flexible in collaborating in and out of their networks when the need arises. The interview revealed that their source of inspiration vary greatly, but they all use it to produce unique designs based on their personalities. Galleries have played a significant role in supporting young talent and three from New York and Los Angeles are featured.
