Attracting investors to Parakou: an exploratory analysis

States are deploying policies and actions to make their business climate interesting and attractive. They aspire to guarantee an adequate living environment for their populations in order to attract more investors. The aim of this exploratory study is to highlight the main factors influencing investor attraction in Parakou. We found that the policies and actions put in place in the Parakou commune, with the aim of being a pole of attraction, satisfy the investors present in this commune. The sectors of activity of interest to investors are commerce and handicrafts. The exploratory factorial analysis revealed eight (08) factors on which the commune can capitalize to boost its attractiveness. Development strategies in the commune of Parakou can therefore be directed towards these levers. This document is intended for students, researchers, territorial marketing practitioners, local authorities and investors. It informs its target audience about the territorial particularities at work in the commune of Parakou.
