John Johnson, head of Framus Life Insurance, has a difficulty. Policyholders die, their beneficiaries collect. That's a problem. The solution: hire a voodoo priest to raise the policyholders from the dead. Insurance doesn't cover zombies, so no more payouts. But Johnson stiffs the priest. Infuriated, the priest leads the undead to jump in a radioactive swamp. Now atomic zombies emerge from the marsh and seem unstoppable. But private dick, Ace Anvil has an idea. He employs a psychic to vanquish them. Unfortunately, to remove the zombies, the psychic conjures up a legion of demons from the tenth circle of Hell, where telemarketers and infomercial spokesman are damned. Now, these demons possess the unwary and roam the earth inflicting sales pitches on the citizens of Framus. To get rid of them, Ace sells his soul to the devil. Or does he?
