The end of the year 2013 is quickly approaching, and new evidence has been discovered which proves the original prediction for the end of the Mayan Calendar was misinterpreted by one year. Erik Stevenson, an architect in New Jersey, his wife Katie and son, Michael, vacation in Egypt. The spirit of an ancient pharaoh appears to Erik and eventually leads him to a mysterious scroll. Six-year-old Michael has lucid dreams and draws the visions he sees with remarkable accuracy. When they return to New Jersey, Erik meets Rhonda Kalu, an exotic club owner and medium, who is blessed with the gift of seeing and channeling spirits. Samhita Kaddam grew up in the small town of Aberdeen, Washington, where she was befriended by the otherworldly Marbeth, who taught her the ways of ancient magic. Joining Samhita in her flight to safety is Tristan Alexander, a college friend, musician and sorcerer, and Robin Meyers, a physics major with an unanswered question. Lin Xang, a Chinese diplomat, and his lady friend, surgeon Chao Xing, survive a major catastrophe in Beijing and rush to reach their destination, guided by clues given to Chao in dreams by Lins dead father. They rush to escape impending doom, as the world explodes around them. Will they make it in time?
