Is hell forever? Most Bible teachers today say that the righteous go to heaven, and the wicked to hell, FOREVER! But is this what the Bible teaches? "At the End of the Ages" presents evidence that the... This description may be from another edition of this product.
The universalist form of Christianity is the ONLY view which makes any sense at all, the traditional christian doctrine of eternal torture (unlike what it's staunch supporters claim, is NOT justice and most definitely NOT good news) It would be a wonderful thing to know, that there is an all loving benevolent God, that loves ALL of his creation without exception, this is a great alternative to the traditional view of christianity
ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT BOOK!

Bob Evely has done an excellent job with this book! This is currently my FAVORITE book to give away to others when they seek to understand why I believe in the Ultimate Reconciliation of all mankind. Many serious books on this subject are quite scholarly and difficult to read. Bob Evely has taken the subject and given some brief but also meaty introductory chapters into this topic and what it's all about. I don't ever take the time to write book reviews because I have little time to do so. But this is how highly I think of this book. Not only does Bob Evely write in a way that makes things easy for anyone to understand, he encourages the reader to do their own research and study and goes on to list great resources with which to do so. He encourages the readers to THINK FOR THEMSELVES! It is time for Christians to wake up and truly ask themselves why they are believing what they are believing. Do you believe in your Christian theology and doctrine because it's what you've always been taught or have you taken the time yourself to be a serious student of God's word? Traditions of men are POOR SUBSTITUTES for the REALITY AND TRUTH of the ALL mighty God of the universe! Read Bob Evely's book and get started on a fantastic journey of discovering the real character of God.
A Vital Work of Scholarship Concerning a Sensitive Subject.

The subject of hell is laden with emotional baggage for many Christian believers, but the author does a masterful job of dealing with this subject in a scripturally solid, yet sensitive manner. He is refreshingly candid as to his own spiritual journey as it involves this particular subject, and thus is able to challenge orthodox belief with compassion and sensitivity. The book is full of solid scriptural arguments for his position and he also does a masterful job of defending his thesis from church history, as he quotes from the writings of such early church fathers as Origen, in addition to more contemporary scholars on this vital topic. It is not overly technical, however, and is easy for the average reader to comprehend. It is a book that I find myself returning to over and over again as an important resource for the doctrine of Ultimate Reconciliation. I recommend it highly.
This book tells about a really loving God for ALL

I read this book in June, 2004, when I got it from a friend. It is really easy reading and is based on what the Bible actually teaches rather than what tradition and your pastor would say. We all need to get back to the basics in Bible study and see what the old manuscripts teach and not what the popular English Bibles claim. It is a book for believers and non-believers. It is a book for those that are frustrated when shopping for a denomination to join (if you must do that). It is a non-denominational book. Anyway, a good book for those who don't want to swim in water where they can't touch the bottom.Bob
Mind-opening work

Wow! This book is really incredibly interesting, and the content made me think of things that I have never thought about before. No "hell"...that's crazy! Well, that's what I thought before. Now I'm not so sure. If nothing else, this book will get you to think about some views that you may not even have thought about before, and get you think for yourself about some teachings that may have been drilled into your head from the moment you were a little kid. A must read...for everyone!
