Often known as the forbidden county of NC, Parrish County consists of two towns separated by a set of now unused train tracks and has a combined population of a little less than five hundred. Surprisingly, each of its residents think they own the entire county. You will have a difficult time convincing them otherwise. It may lead to an early grave if you aren't careful.The Flowers is the name of the neighborhood Damien lives in and its name describes it perfectly during the Spring and Summer months considering there is an array of flowers surrounding the entrance. An idea approved by the county's officials to shed light on the residents' situations. Judging a book by its cover, or a neighborhood by its entrance in this case, is where most people go wrong in Parrish County. No one is who they say they are. Including young Damien Porter; who is a product of what happens when a child is constantly lied to, betrayed, abused, heartbroken, and left alone. Everything he's endured leads him to embark on a journey to embrace what the night has to offer despite his mother's constant reminders to do otherwise.
