Covenant Baptist and its young, woman pastor, Annie Adams have been negotiating interesting and sometimes difficult twists and turns for some time. While trying to serve God in the best way that the folks at Covenant can figure, their sense of call puts them at odds with the Southern Baptist Convention and much of traditional Christianity. They continue to deal with issues of gay acceptance, racism, immigration, single parent families, and ex-convicts. Their support of gays in the congregation eventually leads to confronting gay marriage. While all of these church related issues are going on, Annie's family life and personal life continue to produce issues she has to deal with. In her personal life she struggles to choose between John, a widower and father of young twins, and Greg, a state trooper who is caring for his father who is dying from pancreatic cancer. In this book Annie follows the lead of her heart and chooses a love for her life.This final book of the trilogy on Annie and Covenant Baptist Church brings closure to many things in the life of these folks at Covenant. However, many issues remain, but it is likely that Annie and Covenant are up to the challenge.
