At Last My Love Has Come Along is the story of Nollywood, a Nigerian girl who struggled to claim some agency in her life in a patriarchal and male-dominated society that stretched from her homestead in the heart of traditional Igboland in the Southeastern region; through the multicultural melting pot of Lagos in the Southwestern region; to Sokoto in the Northwestern region where encroaching modernity has met an immovable firewall of Islamic tendencies; and back.

It was not so much the story of her triumph to win love eventually, but a portrayal of human dynamics: where each person was unique, no one was too proud to strive to chase their emotional needs, and wickedness for its own sake didn't exist.
