It sounded so silly saying it, let alone thinking it. I had to throw every belief-and disbelief-I ever had, right out the damn window.
What Dante came to offer me was what kept me from running out of the room... or telling Kyle. It was a chance for me to have a life without being hunted down by the two men who treated me as though I was a freak-a circus sideshow-and a monster.
