This is the second book in the Astoria Mystery series. In the first book fictional characters were developed using Officers George Flavel Van and CSI Cragen O'Neal. They were joined by a number of 'real' people from the town of Astoria. Oregon. This second book continues the theme. You will read about the fictional characters mostly.
George Van and 5-foot-tall Mary Bell, from the first book and CSI O'Neal continue their mystery solving lives. New persons are introduced that take part in helping the Astoria Police force to solve mysteries.
The mystery begins when they are called to Pier 36 when a body of a beautiful lady is found in the sea lion area. They had just completed the 'clown murder' in the first book and were wanting to get away from the office for a good rest. It didn't happen. The call came in. They were on the move again. Our story covers the east end of Astoria. It includes boats- and ships-both actual and fictional. All of the Astoria Mysteries books cover the area's history and its tourist related activities.

In this book, the author appears with a friend to help out the police solve the crime just a little bit You will enjoy the many twists that you find in this mystery.
