Asthma is one of the most common inflammatory disorders in all ages and cultures. Asthma affects all people. It is a chronic disease caused by airway blockage in the lungs. Characteristics of asthma include wheezing, tightness of the chest, and respiratory problems. Clinical signs and symptoms are used to diagnose asthma. In asthma patients with asthma, phosphodiesterase PDEs typically split off phosphorous groups and decrease cyclic Adenosine monophosphate cAMP or cyclic guanosine monophosphate cGMP in target cells.
