It's been ten years since the demon's retreat through the Gate.

In the decade since, Thatcher's Hollow has become eerily quiet. The monsters drawn to its forests and mountains have all but disappeared, and the Rangers find themselves with little purpose.

Struggling to justify their continued existence, the funding that once flowed into the town-funding that's kept the forces of evil at bay-has all but dried up, and the Hollow's citizens find themselves scrambling for a foothold.
